» Cathy Yardley was born in Poughkeepsie, New York. For most of her life, she has lived in three of the major cities of California: San Diego, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. She currently lives in San Diego, CA with her husband, son, and black Labrador retriever.

» She graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in Art History and Mass Communications.

» She has worked as a finance analyst, marketing manager, sales assistant, office manager, editor, and song lyricist.

» She writes both romance and “romantica™,” a blend of erotica and romance. She also writes Chick Lit, a humorous genre of women’s fiction.

» She often incorporates her heritage as a “hybrid” Asian-Caucasian-American into her writing.

» Her favorite pastimes are sleeping, eating chocolate, playing casual video games, and sleeping.

RWA's "Readers for Life" Literacy Booksigning

Every summer, Romance Writers of America puts on its annual "Readers for Life" booksigning benefit, and Cathy will be there (along with hundreds of fellow romance authors, all signing their latest titles). The booksigning is free and open to the public. Every year the benefit raises thousands of dollars. For more information please visit
